A concern for most brides and grooms getting married is etiquette. Proper etiquette for the presentation of names requires that any time the surname or married name is included on any print; the man’s name should precede the woman’s name.

When a married couple breaks up, it is not just their own future that has changed. It is not even “just” their children’s future that has been irrevocably altered. Both sets of parents, if living, can be wounded. The brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews are hurt. The future grandchildren’s lives will unroll down different paths than what was expected. In fact, the reality is that the grandparents will probably not even see them for years at a time.

The shock of the divorce to the couple’s friends can be emotionally intense, with a social network now creaking on one hinge, like a broken gate. That said, when the divorce is initiated by one spouse to escape the abuse that has been inflicted on him or her by the other, it does not matter what other people think!! While inflicting more pain was not planned, it does not matter whose feelings are hurt, or how many lectures are delivered by so-called counselors. No one should have to endure a relationship that is tearing them apart, or destroying who they are. Even so, circumstances sometimes leave no choice for the foreseeable future.

Those who marry and divorce multiple times do so for a multitude of complex reasons, few of which really have much to do with love. Instead, they remarry due to money problems, loneliness, or lust, the same reasons our greatgrandparents got married again, after the death of a spouse. Likewise, those who stay in a first bad marriage for decades do so for emotional and practical considerations. Eventually, someone burns out. For some, getting divorced or separating is an abrupt decision, triggered by one last straw.

None of us know when we might find ourselves in that very situation.

RAS stands for reticulating activation system and it is the part of your brain specifically designed to keep you alive in a world filled with teeth, talons and tigers. When it receives a signal, that it even suspects of being a threat, it triggers the endocrine system and dumps things like adrenaline into your body in preparation to take action. Now here is where it becomes interesting, because we now have this “pattern” in our mind that is literally governing what we pay attention to. Here is the good news. You can program your

The RAS is active all the time and its main job is to protect you. So how do you use this to find your perfect life partner? You must “program” or activate, if you prefer, your own RAS to
seek out the perfect life partner for you. And to do this you need to be very clear indeed about what you are looking for!

Think about the last time you were excited about buying something. Could be a new car or a “perfect” piece of clothing. You saved and scrimped and waited for a sale and finally got that
thing you wanted. You walk triumphantly out of the store and suddenly all around you you see that type of car or that outfit. What has happened here is that you have programmed your “internal computer” to pay attention to that specific thing and now you see it everywhere.

To use your inner “computer” in your quest for a perfect life partner you have to get clear on what you are looking for in a that partner. Write it down and then keep refreshing your vision
